STC Calculator

Calculate your STC (Solar Rebate)

STC (Small-Scale Technology Certificates) is a Government Scheme widely known as “Solar Rebate” in the Australian Country. Technically, it is more of a financial incentive rather than just a rebate.

How to calculate the STC?

STC = Solar System Size x No. of years pending in 2030 x Zone Rating.

There are three factors that are used in the STC formula

1) System Size

2) No. of years pending in 2030

3) Zone Rating

However, you don’t need to use this complex formula. We have made a STC Calculator for you. All you need to do is just enter the system size, year of installation, and postcode. Our Calculator automatically calculates STCs for you. Contact Us if you need any information about STC. To learn more about STC you can visit Clean Energy Regulator’s website HERE

  • Please note that STCs can only be created within 12 months of the installation of an eligible solar panel system. Check the Creating STCs for more information.
  • The presented calculator determines the approximate number of STCs may be created under the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES).
  • The STC calculator DOES NOT provide accurate or exact information about the number of STC to be created for the installation.
  • The calculator does not take all of the variables affecting the calculation of the STCs for an installation.
  • The calculator is based on data that could be updated from time to time.
  • Results mentioned in the STC calculator may vary according to the data updates.
  • Consult the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Act 2000 and the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Regulations for the accurate calculation of the number of STCs.
